Michel, born 1972 in Zurich, is co-founder and president of the Board of Directors of splend!t. Being an attorney, Michel made sure the platform was designed to operate within applicable laws and provides transparent and fair financing for education. splend!t is based on the p2p and crowdfunding concept and is under the supervision of FINMA. Michel is a father of 4 children (3 daughters and 1 son) and loves any sport where you hit a ball with a stick, so you may run into him on a tennis court as much as in a snooker center.

Florian, born 1973 in Zurich, is co-founder of splend!t and member of the Board of Directors. As an economist and former bond trader he knows the traditional banking business inside out. He put enormous focus and effort into designing the platform and processes to be as transparent as possible. Florian is a father of two sons and can be spotted rowing on the lake of Zurich regularly... but you have to get up early for that.

Andreas, born 1978 in Zurich, focuses on the business and product development aspects in splendit's growth journey. He is an economist by training and has vast professional experience in allocating assets across markets. Andreas is an avid skier, plays the cello, piano and guitar, proud daddy of two children, and an investor on splendit.

Luzi, born 1974 in Zurich is senior software developer and makes sure that the splendit platform is state-of-the-art and its functionalities live up to everyone's expectations. With ten years under his belt at Ergon he could not be a better fit for splendit's needs and culture. Luzi is a top-notch surfer and his stunts can be witnessed on the beautiful shores of Portugal.

Olaf, born 1943 in Berlin, is the former president of the ETH Zürich and brings along a vast experience in the education sector, both in Switzerland and abroad. As the former director of Society in Science, The Branco Weiss Fellowship, he knows about the enduring contribution to society by investing in intellectually daring students and postdocs. He usually spends his summer holidays on a bike saddle, cycling the Tour des Grandes Alpes

His research as a macroeconomist focuses on the long-run determinants of cross-country income differences, especially on the role of human-capital.
